Holo4: powering generalist computer-use agents

H Company released Holo4, a model targeting generalist computer-use agents capable of operating across desktop and web environments. The release continues the competitive push toward agents that can autonomously execute complex multi-step tasks directly on user interfaces without task-specific fine-tuning.

Stealth Apart, Harm Together: Skill Cascading Attacks on Skill-Based Agent Systems

Researchers introduce 'skill cascading attacks,' a threat model where a malicious objective is split across multiple individually benign-looking skills in modular agent systems, with harm only emerging upon combined execution. The work exposes a significant blind spot in current agent security auditing, which typically evaluates skills in isolation rather than analyzing cross-skill interaction effects. This is particularly relevant as skill marketplaces and plugin ecosystems grow in production agent deployments.

Cosine Similarity Is Not Evidence: Measuring the Noise Floor of Interpretability Transfer Under Quantization

This paper argues that scale-invariant statistics like cosine similarity and AUROC are routinely misused to certify that interpretability artifacts transfer from full-precision to quantized models, because these metrics are reported without their noise floor. The authors derive a closed-form expression governing the noise floor for the difference-in-means direction estimator, parameterized by a single dimensionless number κ = nρ²/d, and show that no compression-transfer study they surveyed reports the required class separation ρ on real activations. The result has direct implications for AI safety work that relies on interpretability tools validated only on unquantized weights.
